'old' scrapping supplies...

It may sound crazy...
After Thanksgiving I was able to add some more storage cubes to my craft studio. In doing so I discovered I had more card stock and supplies than any crafter could hope for ;) That being said, I had just signed up to share my love of paper crafting goodness with Stampin Up! What was a girl to do with all the 'OLD' supplies??? Unfortunately I have been stuck at home thanks to my body having its own idea of "fun" instead of going to work this week. That gave me lots of time to think of how to use up these supplies. I came across this fabulous site!

I can now make lots of cards that will get sent to our troops stationed all over the world so they can write in them and send them back home to their loved ones! Isn't this a great idea? I can't believe I have never heard of it before!!! It takes about 6-8 weeks for cards to get shipped over so I guess I will start making some Valentine's Day/Love themed cards. =)
Here are a few that I have done so far this week (not SU, but used SU inks and the snowman lineup and Make Merry stamps are from SU!) It's too late to send these, but I'm sure I'll find a home for them somewhere...

  2. I have been making cards for Operation Write Home for a couple of years now. It is a great way to use up retired card stock or just reduce the huge supply we always accumulate. You can save any Christmas cards for next year's donation to OWH. That's what I do when deadlines go by. I'm a new follower to your blog. Looking forward to your creations with your new SU products. Stop by my blog for a visit.
