My first SWAP!

"Thank You" swap featuring Aviary & Tiny Tags stamp sets
I was so excited to participate in my very first SU swap! Using only items I had on hand (I was challenging myself to use what I already have) I created these cards in Pear Pizzazz CS and DSP with Blushing Bride CS curly labels. Concord Crush and Poppy Parade inks were used for the birds and cages while the Tiny Tags were stamped in Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Concord Crush.

Thoughts & Prayers Sympathy cards

Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set
Unfortunately I found myself needing to make a small stack of these cards recently. SU! has the perfect stamp set for such sentiments of sympathy. Again, in my attempt to use up my non-SU papers I have come to realize how much I LOVE SU paper over the craft store variety. Can you see how the ink started to bleed just a bit? When on the SU paper images and phrases are crisp and clean... not so much on the other papers.

Purse gift card holder

Becky Roberts' purse tutorial available at Inking Idaho.com
Isn't this tiny purse just adorable?! It's perfect for a gift card and/or set of 3x3 note cards. I had so much fun creating several of these for my nieces during the holidays.

Aviary love card

What a challenge it was to create a card simply from the contents of my 'starter kit'! Well, actually it was easy because we get so many fantastic stamps, inks, designer paper, etc., it was just more challenging because I wanted to use more of my fun products that I already had on hand ;)
Any way, here is my 'love' card featuring the Aviary and Tiny Tags stamp sets in Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz colors and Whisper White satin ribbon.

Holiday Line up

I made these cards for my parents featuring the Holiday Line Up and Grateful Greetings stamp sets and the IN colors! Poppy Parade SU card stock, Crumb Cake & Blush Blossom Stamp & Write markers along with the Blender Pen really made coloring these characters easy.

1st Christmas in New Home Card

My Brother & Sister~in~law purchased their 1st home earlier this year and will be celebrating their first Christmas there. I made a card to go along with the "Our First Home 2010" Ornament I purchased for them. This card was CASED and I apologize as I cannot find the original source :/
The door was created using the Curly Label Punch and over 100 gum drops were stamped in the IN colors, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and a few retired brights then individually cut out to create the wreath. I figured it was a fun non-traditional wreath...Hubby thinks I was crazy for cutting them all out ;)

Sweet Co-worker Holiday Cards

Each year I try to make my coworkers a card that is extra special...This one just so happens to contain a packet of Cocoa and a candy cane. I hope you enjoy it  =)

'old' scrapping supplies...

It may sound crazy...
After Thanksgiving I was able to add some more storage cubes to my craft studio. In doing so I discovered I had more card stock and supplies than any crafter could hope for ;) That being said, I had just signed up to share my love of paper crafting goodness with Stampin Up! What was a girl to do with all the 'OLD' supplies??? Unfortunately I have been stuck at home thanks to my body having its own idea of "fun" instead of going to work this week. That gave me lots of time to think of how to use up these supplies. I came across this fabulous site!
http://operationwritehome.org
I can now make lots of cards that will get sent to our troops stationed all over the world so they can write in them and send them back home to their loved ones! Isn't this a great idea? I can't believe I have never heard of it before!!! It takes about 6-8 weeks for cards to get shipped over so I guess I will start making some Valentine's Day/Love themed cards. =)
Here are a few that I have done so far this week (not SU, but used SU inks and the snowman lineup and Make Merry stamps are from SU!) It's too late to send these, but I'm sure I'll find a home for them somewhere...
